We will start you on gear and settings that show what it takes, honest tradeoffs and all.
So we only recommend what mounts on your camera.

Lens details & buying options ↗Shared exposure and focus settings; Lens B adjusts to its limits. Each body uses its own sensor.
Simplified optics diagram. Camera shape is illustrative.
Metered against a dim indoor scene, EV 3. Motion assumes a subject crossing the frame at a 3 mph walk. Blur figures are millimetres on the sensor, the way lens data is always quoted.
Camera body model: “Sony Alpha A7 IV” by Abdelrahman El-masry, licensed via Envato (3DOcean). Modified for this project: converted to a wireframe rendering, re-grouped and re-positioned for the assembly animation.
“Canon EOS R6 Mark II Mirrorless Camera” (https://skfb.ly/oZzWE) by polyman Studio is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution. Modified for this project: converted to a wireframe rendering, geometry only.
The Canon R50, Sony ZV-E10 II, Nikon Z50 II and Fujifilm X-T30 III bodies are original models made for this project from manufacturer references. Their details are illustrative, not manufacturer CAD.
Lens barrel, element groups and aperture blades are generated procedurally to the Tamron 35-150mm f/2-2.8’s published exterior dimensions. Interior element groups are schematic, not the optical formula. Other lens barrels and camera bodies are generated to their manufacturers’ published dimensions.

Scene plates generated for this project; depth maps hand-authored and labelled estimated wherever shown.
Lens-specific bokeh, sharpness, autofocus and aberrations require real-world testing. This preview estimates blur size from a thin-lens model and scene depth. It is an educational simulation, not a measured optical test.
